RWG continuously strives to further optimize the logistic handling at its terminal. In this context, RWG will implement another change to the so-called Truck Appointment System in order to further streamline the truck handling process. This follows our previously communicated adjustments.

As of Monday, November 9, another time slot will be added to the RWG truck appointment system on weekdays, namely the timeslot from 04:00 hrs – 05:00 hrs. The additional time slot is necessary due to the traffic and safety at the RWG terminal. The measure was taken in consultation with TLN (AZV / VZV) and VERN. In the coming period, RWG will, also in consultation with TLN (AZV / VZV) and VERN, introduce a number of other measures to have a better occupation of the available capacity at the terminal.

However, this additional measure will not prevent fully booked time slots during peak hours. For this it is imperative that more spread in the supply and delivery of containers by road is needed. RWG is operational 24/7 and uses 100% handling capacity to handle trucks during these times. The truck visit needs to be pre-announced through the Port Community System of Portbase. More information about the pre-announcement process is available on RWGServices.
