On Monday August 28th 2017, container terminal Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG) handled one million containers since the official opening in September 2015. This container was unloaded from the CMA CGM Corte Real. RWG is very proud of having achieved this milestone within two years since the opening of the terminal. After a period of building and testing, RWG has grown to be a well-respected terminal in the port of Rotterdam and the Hamburg-Le Havre range. RWG, the world’s most automated and innovative container terminal, plays a key role in efficient, sustainable, reliable and safe container handling. At the moment, the terminal is already running at 90% of its capacity. In the next few years, RWG’s container handling services of all modalities will be further developed and extended in a transparent manner and in close cooperation with its customers and stakeholders.
