From Thursday 1 December 2016, the method for entering the seal number for full export containers will change. At Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG), up until now, the seal number for full export containers has to be entered in the gate process at the RWG terminal. From Thursday 1 December, this is no longer possible and it will be mandatory to enter the seal number in the pre-announcement of the container via the Service Road Planning of Portbase. This measure shortens the duration of the gate process at RWG and will further optimize the truck flow. Moreover, with this measure RWG aligns the process regarding the pre-notification of the seal number for all modalities.
